Wedding Ceremonies

For organisation of a wedding ceremony at Brdo you can choose between different attractive locations, outdoors and indoors. Organisation of a wedding can be demanding, therefore let us take care for some of your tasks.
We recommend you to hire a zither player to perform the wedding march and musical background during your ceremony. The wedding march can also be played on a CD player.
You can decide to take a carriage ride. It will take you to the chosen location where your wedding guests will be waiting you. You can use the carriage also for your photo shooting session in the park.
Photos will capture your celebration in time forever, therefore we will be glad to hire an experienced photographer for you and according to your wishes.
You can decide to release doves for luck at the end of the official ceremony.
At Brdo we can make you a wedding bouquet, breast-bouquets, and car decoration. The price of the decoration depends upon your wishes.

The reservation of any location for wedding ceremony is possible only if you will host your wedding party at Brdo.

First Lake Island

In the middle of the Brdo Park on the first lake lies a small idyllic island, in the summer surrounded by white water lilies. Perfect for a romantic wedding.
Since the island is small only the marrying couple, witnesses to the marriage, registrar and authorised representative can be present, while the wedding guest attend the ceremony on the banks of the lake, where the snacks and champagne is served after the ceremony.
This location is convenient only if the weather is fine. If it turns sour the ceremony moves to a substitutional previously agreed indoor location.

Ducks' Island

On the second lake in the Brdo Park there is the Ducks’ Island. Here the wedding ceremony happens under a jutting roof or on a meadow next to the lake. You can invite here up to 240 guests.
The wedding ceremony can be performed only in case of fine weather. If the weather is not fine the wedding ceremony moves to a substitutional previously agreed indoor location.

Congress Centre Brdo

In Congress Centre Brdo two halls are appropriate for a wedding ceremony, Splendens Hall and Glass Hall. They both offer an enviable view to the Brdo Park. Champagne and food can be served either in any of the halls or in the multipurpose lobby. The Splendens Hall in addition offers exits to a big terrace where in case of fine weather you can reinvigorate your celebration even more.
The Splendens Hall accepts up to 240 guests, while the Glass Hall is more appropriate for intimate civil ceremonies.

Restaurant Zois

You can organize a civil wedding ceremony with up to 60 guests in Restaurant Zois. It is located in a former castle stables along the way to the Brdo Castle and Ducks’ Island. The ambience offers a wonderful combination of ancient and modern style.

Strmol Castle

If you want to marry in a castle then you should decide for Strmol Castle, located in the village of Dvorje near Cerklje at the Gorenjska Region. When the weather is fine the ceremony can happen outside in the castle garden, while indoors there is a Golden Parlour perfect for you solemn event. The castle rooms are, as is the castle itself, small, therefore you can invite to your civil wedding ceremony up to 40 guests.

Till further notice we do not perform wedding ceremonies in the castle due to renovation.
